There are 3 different types for MK8 (20X20X10) mm, including Copper cover for holding NTC 3950 100K thermistor , lock for Heater cartridge on side and lock for Heater cartridge on top. For 3D printers and other applications that require accurate temperature sensing and control, Copper cover for holding thermistor can keep the temperature detector stable and accuurate. 

Also, you can choose the location of the 3D printing block to be either on the top or on the side depending on your 3D printer setup. f you have a 3D printer that is setup with an extruder in the front and a heated bed at the back, for example, you might want to install the lock on the top.
