The Sovol Filament Dryer is designed specifically for drying filament. As many of you know, filament has a tendency to absorb moisture from the air, which can lead to print issues such as strings, bubbles, and uneven extrusion lines. This can greatly affect the quality of your prints and even cause clogs in your hot end. That's where the Sovol Filament Dryer comes in.
One of the standout features of the Sovol Filament Dryer is its large capacity. Unlike other filament dryers on the market, the Sovol Filament Dryer can store 2 spools of filament with a width of less than 70mm or 1 filament roll with a width of less than 150mm. This is great news for 3D printer owners who have different demands, such as those who print with larger rolls or those who have multiple single extruder or IDEX 3D printers.
Another great feature of the Sovol Filament Dryer is its adjustable temperature and time settings. With the touch of a button, you can set the temperature to 40°C, 45°C, or 50°C, and adjust the drying time from 6 to 12 hours. This allows you to customize the drying process based on the specific requirements of your filament.
The Sovol Filament Dryer also includes a humidity display, which shows the humidity of the filament dryer box in real-time. This feature is incredibly convenient for users as it provides a reference point for the humidity of the filament.
One of the standout features of the Sovol Filament Dryer is its excellent sealing storage function. The box includes a transparent silicone spacer that, when locked with the lid and closed with the two Teflon outlets, creates a vacuum environment for long-term storage of filament. This means you can store your filament without the need for power and without worrying about moisture affecting its quality. We recommend placing 4 bags of desiccants (not included) inside the dryer box to further improve drying efficiency and quality.
Speaking of the two Teflon outlets, they are made with Teflon material to ensure smooth loading of filament from the dryer to the extruder. When using the filament dryer for storage, you can close these outlets. When using it for drying, you can open them to allow moisture to flow out into the air. This simple design feature makes the product even more special.
To ensure the lid stays securely closed during printing, the Sovol Filament Dryer includes two locking clips. These clips provide peace of mind, knowing that the lid won't pop up due to the pull strength of the extruder while printing. You can even use the filament dryer as a filament holder, allowing you to print without any worries.
We also want to provide some recommendations for using the Sovol Filament Dryer with different materials. It is recommended to dry moisture-filled filament for 12-24 hours before printing, especially if it is very humid. During the drying process, it is advised to open the two Teflon outlets and the lid slightly to allow humidity to escape. Additionally, please ensure that the filament rolls are positioned correctly for smooth extrusion.
