Our First 3D Printer

Tevo became our first printer brand, starting a new chapter for WA makers.

Our First 3D Printer

From Spare Parts to Full Printers: Our First Brand Partnership

2017 marked a turning point in our journey. After starting with parts and support, we took a bold next step: offering full 3D printers. Partnering with Tevo, a trusted manufacturer, we introduced our first machine — the iconic Tevo Tarantula — and opened up new possibilities for creators across WA.

Just a year earlier, 3D Printing Perth was born from the simple need for parts. But as more makers began reaching out — not only for upgrades and fixes but for whole machines — we saw a growing need: access to affordable, reliable 3D printers right here in Western Australia.

In 2017, we took the leap and partnered with Tevo, a factory-direct 3D printer brand known for its balance of performance and value. It was a major step forward for us — and for the community we served.

The Tevo Tarantula was our first offering. It was a popular, DIY-style 3D printer that resonated with hobbyists and beginners alike. By making it available locally, we removed the uncertainty of overseas orders, offered real-time support, and gave customers peace of mind that help was always nearby.

More than just a sale, this partnership laid the foundation for our future direction: to curate trusted brands, provide honest local support, and grow alongside the needs of every user — from tinkerers to teachers.

Bringing in our first 3D printer brand shifted our role — from part supplier to a full-solution provider. It allowed us to serve more beginners, launch first-time makers, and become a reliable bridge between international tech and local trust.

Since Tevo, many more brands have followed — but that first step in 2017 was the start of something big. And as our offerings expand, our commitment remains the same: to deliver access, support, and real value to every corner of WA’s 3D printing scene.
