2020: Our First School Client

In mid-2020, we partnered with our first school near Scarborough — a key moment that sparked our commitment to making 3D printing part of education.

2020: Our First School Client

Opening Classrooms: Our First Step into 3D Printing Education

Midway through 2020, a meaningful connection changed the course of our mission. A nearby school became our very first education client, and with that partnership, a new chapter began — one focused on empowering students, supporting teachers, and bringing 3D printing into the classroom.

By 2020, our shop in Scarborough was a busy hub for makers, hobbyists, and professionals. But one day, a local school just around the corner walked in — curious about how 3D printing could be introduced to their students.

That moment led to a conversation, then a demonstration, and eventually a full setup. In mid-2020, we proudly became partners with our first school client.

It was more than just a sale — it was a spark. We quickly saw the potential: students engaging hands-on with STEM concepts, teachers using printing for creative lesson plans, and schools opening doors to next-generation skills.

This experience helped shape our long-term vision: make 3D printing accessible, practical, and inspiring for education. From that point on, we began developing educational packages, support materials, and classroom-friendly solutions that would help schools confidently bring 3D printing into their curriculum.

That first school in 2020 helped us realise something powerful — 3D printing wasn’t just for hobbyists and engineers. It belonged in classrooms, where it could inspire the next wave of inventors, designers, and thinkers.

Since then, our focus on education has grown steadily, with more schools joining the journey every year. And we’re only getting started.
